Not finished... Still tinkering.
New Halle piece.
This is a piece I'm going to eventually hang on my wall. I first need to design a nice little forest for the background.
I also need to make her appear more realistic. This may take a while.
I thought I was done. I'm not done.
With this foray into digital, I'm constantly discovering new ways to approach old pieces. So, now I'm updating this last portrait. I can't help myself.
Joe's Workshop
I uploaded a semi-instruction video a couple of months ago.
The above video was uploaded on September 10, 2017, however I'm still working on that particular piece. I posted my progress down below.
Not my pic
Back while I was in college, caricature artist Sam Viviano was one of my instructors. Believe it or not, I attended the same class as a couple of published caricature artists Andre Leroy Davis (andreleroydavis.com) and Kevin Greene (http://a.co/4sN8d6Q. I was lucky to have him, not only because he was really good but because I enjoyed his work in Dynamite magazine during the late seventies. Anyway, one day he drew for the class a picture of actress Helen Slater in her role as Supergirl in the movie of the same name. I guess I was sitting at the front of the class that day and he just handed me the drawing to keep. To this day I still don't know why. All I know is I still have it. This will probably be the only piece of art on this site that wasn't created by me. We'll see.
