Not bad. I still need to clean up a few areas before declaring this to be complete. And no, I don’t know why the shirt is suddenly covered in fingerprints. I’ll be back.
Resolution at 200%
This took an hour and a half to render. (I also reduced the size by 75% for this upload.) Next I’ll render it at 500% in order for the detail to come through. That may take about 9 hours to complete.
Rough finish
This will be the general look and feel of the image once it’s done. I intend to adjust the lighting so that the face and shirt aren’t washed out like it is now. I may even adjust the dimensions of the camera and move in closer to see the details in the face. I’ll also raise the resolution, so the final render will take some hours to complete. This particular render took 30 minutes due to the grass particles.
Anyway, I’m getting close to being done. That’s a good thing.
And I still don’t like the look of these underalls. Ugh.
First pose.
The shirt still looks a little sketchy. The arms need a little help. I’m not happy with the way the overalls turned out, so I’ll have to hide a few things. The background shall come later.
Still going.
The shirt texture is a little iffy, but it will do for now. Meanwhile, it’s time to build this model an armature and then strike a real pose!
Not bad.
Texture was just added. Perhaps I’m too close to it, but it doesn’t look half bad, right now. I do have to clean up the arms, though.
Now we're getting somewhere.
Now that the model is almost where I feel comfortable, here is where I start adding the skin texture. I shall return.
Late night tinkering
I left the hair off this time because a) I’m still trying to get the likeness correct without using the hair as a crutch; b) I’m going to have to remodel the hair anyway; c) it takes longer for an image to render with hair than without. Anyway, I think I’m getting closer. I do need to remove that knot from the middle of her forehead. I shall return.
