I nearly forgot to post this...
I’m currently upgrading this old creation into a piece of animation. This is the low resolution version.
I've spent the last few weeks re-working an old piece.
The above image is a caricature of an old friend/coworker. She always complained that the nose was too big. Yes, it is a caricature.
Here’s what I’ve got so far. Hopefully, I’ll have this done in a few weeks. But, I have no deadline, so who knows.
Old piece, new animation
I set up the armature on this model for animation with the intent of creating a second nft. At this point, all the keys were in place and the animation was prepared for rendering.
I rendered a slightly different version of this about a week ago. There are only 250 frames that need to be processed. On only 32 samples, it took six days to finish.
I was preparing myself to save up for a new computer to handle this job, until a Blender artist on Twitter mentioned to me that she uses a render farm to process her work.
A new computer with a decent graphics card would have cost me 2 grand. The render farm charged me $250. and it was completed in an hour.
Once the video was processed, I decided to add a few video effects to make it appear a bit more interesting.
Now that it’s done, I’m not even sure if it needs to be sold. Also, who would want to buy this? I’m stumped.
I've been slacking with the blog, but I've been doing a few things...
I’ve been working on animating these two images for weeks (specifically the lower image), with the intention of creating NFTs and hopping on the new cryptocurrency trend. But, after going through all the hoops I had to jump through just to create an NFT for the top image, I started to understand that only certain people could make money off of this craze, while most people (like myself) will never earn a profit. And let’s be clear, creating an NFT is literally spending money to hopefully make money in return. And now that I’ve spent money on the top image (which has been waiting on a buyer for about a week or so), I’m not sure what to do with the lower piece that I just finished. At least I can post it here.
I've managed to get pretty far with this one.
I’m currently working on the animation. I also want to touch up a few details to add realism.
I'm trying to create a life like model using Blender. This, unfortunately, ain't easy.
I pulled the head and hair from an old caricature model I created some years ago. The body belonged to a model I crafted recently.
At this point, I’m going to align and connect the two objects.
I’m currently in the process of painting the skin texture. This may take longer than I had hoped.
