I chose to make a few alterations on this prior piece instead of finishing up on the piece I’m currently working on. I changed the tint and slimmed down the hips of each mermaid. I’m still not sure if I’m done, yet. I’m just done for today.
ANOTHER UPDATE
Here is how the finished picture will generally look. From here I’ll have to clean up the shape of the arms and also add texture to the hands as well as the rest of the body. Plus, I need to redesign that dress and make the sun and the moon look more like the sun and the moon.
New Update
So, after taking a look at the classic Queen Nefertiti bust, I decided a new head piece was in order. I also added a few changes to the face. And yes, I added hair. I hate doing hair, but there it is.
Update
Not much difference. Still trying to model the face correctly. I added more skin texture, but it could use a lot of work. Also increased the resolution of the image.
Update
All I managed to do is add a little texture and adjust the lighting and the smile. I’ll get started on the clothes in the next few days.
Next up...
I should probably do this more often than I do. Anyway, my next piece will be to represent Libra of the zodiac. I’ve already ironed out most of the modeling issues. I’m currently adding skin texture. As is usually the case, I haven’t fully decided on the wardrobe. And I guess I’m cheating on the hair, because I hate doing hair.
Finished.
So, I wasn’t exactly done when I completed this piece a few weeks ago. I posted it on Google Plus to get some feedback on what needed to be fixed, but all I got was positive feedback. So, to me, that meant it was done.
I had the same issue with this next piece. Again, I posted it on Google Plus hoping to receive a little critique here and there. Instead, I received likes from all sorts of folks I didn’t know. So, I assumed the piece was done. And here it is.
I spent the past week working this next upload. I don’t know if it’s done, but for now I’m going to say that it is, until it isn’t.
